Are you typical of your star sign? If so, how?
I'm a Pisces Sun and I embody a lot of the qualities associated with this zodiac. I am creative with a background in art and music. I am sensitive with a keen desire to help others. I can be a bit of a daydreamer with a Neptunian love of reading literature. And I am spiritual with a deep interest in the mystical side of life (something that drew me to Tarot in the first place).
How long have you been giving readings for?
I have been giving readings for 2-3 years.
What advice would you give to those customers contemplating their first reading?
Never forget that you have agency in your own life. You are in control of your actions. The cards don't provide a definitive picture of the future. Instead they're more like glimpses of possible future outcomes if you pursue a certain path or make a certain choice. Use the cards as a springboard for inspiration and gaining better clarity on a situation or on yourself and use these to inform your choices. If something resonates then pay attention to that as that is your intuition picking up on the core messages that you need, equally if something doesn't resonate, don't be afraid to speak up and let your reader know, it helps us narrow down the meaning to something that is relevant to you and your circumstances. A final point, try not to feel intimidated by the darker cards, if you receive a traditionally "bad" card such as The Tower, The Hanged Man, The Devil etc...see them as things that might need to be worked through rather than doom and gloom.
What do you do for fun outside of psychic readings?
When I'm not doing psychic readings, you can find me out walking in nature or at home painting, listening to music and singing. I also love to sit back with a brew and a good book.
What prompted you to start giving readings?
During my Saturn return (Saturn in Pisces), I started to receive people coming to me needing guidance. I had been reading Tarot for myself for over a year by this point and had done a lot of personal work through Tarot so I would offer those people readings, hoping it would help them like it helped me. It started with close friends and family and then I found the Universe (Spirit/Source/God or whatever you want to call it) sending strangers in very random ways to me and I would "just know" when I was being called to read for them. So I would read and I found that I would say the messages those people needed to hear in that moment. Every reading I have done to date has ended with the other person feeling reassured or clearer on something personal to them. I felt I was being called to help in this way but I lacked confidence in myself. I started working with my friend and mentor last year and she encouraged me to take the plunge.
What spiritual skills do you have?
I have a natural alignment to Tarot. I have a strong intuition and claircognizance (the skill of knowing)- I describe this as "lightning-bolt" moments where I just "know" something or something just drops in my head. I am relatively good at reading astrology which I am improving with continued study and I am also an eclectic witch who works a lot with nature and herbs and has an inherent gift for manifestation. I receive messages through Dreams and also channel the divine when creating art or composing music. I have been drawn to spiritual practices and the "woo" since I was a teenager but I have been fully immersed in my spiritual pursuits since my mid twenties.
What tools do you use within your readings?
I work with the Rider-Waite tarot deck. This is a traditional 78 card deck illustrated by Pamela Coleman Smith and conceived by A.E.Waite and originally published in 1909. I use this deck because firstly the images are very clear which helps narrow down messages and maintain clarity in interpretations and secondly because the meanings in each card are layered and multifaceted which I find makes the deck extremely versatile to use during readings, making it easier to tailor guidance for the person I am reading for. I take care to smoke cleanse the cards before providing readings to ensure the energies of both client and myself are protected during readings.
What’s your most memorable psychic experience?
During my Saturn Return I had a really difficult time. I was experiencing a toxic workplace environment, supporting someone very dear to me who was bereaved and suffering from a whole host of health problems. At this time, I really felt low and then out of the blue I started getting visitations from The Morrigan, specifically Macha. I had not believed in or worked with deities up until this point. My spiritual approach had been very earth based and I was more scientific in my thinking than spiritual. But Macha came through to me in multiple dreams and sent me messages, signs and synchronicities in everyday life. I thought I was going a bit mad in all honesty but something deep down forced me to trust the process. It culminated in Macha working through me energetically to say the things that I had been too scared to say and helping me to implement the boundaries I needed to find sovereignty. I can always tell when I'm channelling a deity as the voice and the feeling attached to it feels very different from my own internal voice and energy. Macha is also the sovereign goddess of Ulster and my family and ancestors come from that region so it felt right that she would come through as a spirit guide for me. It changed my whole world view, how I saw myself and my spiritual path as well as being utterly transformative to my life. I feel blessed every time I think about it.
When did you discover your gifts?
I have been drawn to spiritual and occult practices since I was 17 but for a long time was too bogged down with the day to day to fully immerse myself in these enough to realise my gifts. I started to realise I had a gift for reading Tarot 2 years ago. I can also see that I have always been naturally lucky and good at manifesting what I needed when I needed it throughout my life often with little effort. Since 26 I have realised I can work various healing magic and read signs and synchronicities in nature, I only use these skills in my personal life. Last year I started learning astrology too which I also have some natural gifts in, it is my hope to develop these gifts further. When I was 29 I had my first experience of channelling a deity through dreams and in waking life- this is my most profound spiritual experience to date. Its only this year that I stumbled across the term "claircognizance" which helped me understand my gift for innate knowledge, something which has always been a natural skill of mine but that I didn't identify as a spiritual gift until recently. It is this gift that helps me to channel messages through Tarot.
Why should a client choose you for their psychic reading?
In addition to the benefits of choosing a reader gifted with strong intuition and claircognizant ability to channel messages through Tarot, I hope that the first thing a client would notice is that I put them at the heart of my readings. I use my empathy and friendliness to put clients at ease and provide a reassuring ear to listen to their needs in the moment. My background in languages makes me a solid communicator. My extensive knowledge of symbology draws out nuanced and detailed interpretations that I uniquely tailor so that the information makes sense to and resonates with the person I am reading for. My person-centred approach to Tarot is honest, grounded and ethical. My chief aim is to empower my clients with clarity and insightful guidance that is rooted in the real world, so that they leave my readings feeling calmer and able to make informed choices in daily life.
